Dr. Karen Gedney is an Internal Medicine Specialist, author, speaker, medical expert witness, and prison reform advocate with nearly 30 years of experience as a Senior Physician with the Nevada Department of Corrections. During her career, she developed protocols for treating HIV, Hepatitis C, and cancer within the prison system and created programs focused on addiction recovery and life skills. Today, Dr. Gedney teaches at Western Nevada College, serves as a medical consultant for the Federal Public Defender’s Office, and continues her work in holistic prison reform and mentorship. She completed her Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Nevada and is board-certified in Anti-Aging and Regenerative Medicine.
